New School Year

A lot of stuff has happened since my last post. Well, duh--the entire summer. I didn't think my summer needed to be on the blog. My summer was great except for a few things. We were in GA a lot, we went to FL, and to Myrtle Beach. Even though school has started, I miss having my boys all day. I won't mention the bad parts of the summer...

Well, school has started again. Jacob is a 7th grader this year--YIKES! He is excited because he got all of the classes he wanted and is in honors Math. He told me the other day that he wasn't sure if he liked the class because he had to work harder--that's funny. He isn't used to having to open the book to get help. Gabe is in the 2nd grade. My baby is growing up way too fast. He is sooo smart. He has been reading books at a much higher reading level--and understanding them. He is also great at Math--he doesn't have to think--the answers seem to just come to him. Weird.
My classes are okay except for a couple of kids I want to strangle. I hope this is the last time I have to teach 9th grade. I start my Master's program here in about a week. I'm excited. I am getting certified in elementary ed. That will let me teach K-6 grade. I can already teach 7-12 grade. I want to go down to 5th grade I think. I'm tired of drama!!

So, other than being exhausted, all is well. Gabe started football yesterday and is playing tackle football--scary for mom, but good for him.

Hope all is well with you...
